Dave, again, does the Holy Spirit need anyones help to understand His Word.No, just leave His word as it is He is fully capable of giving understanding to what He powered others to write.
When will people just depend upon the Holy Spirit to give understanding,maybe people do not believe what He says about the Holy Spirit. John chapters 14 & 16.
Even the chapter, verses and punctuation are of men, as these are not in the original manuscripts.

Dave, when the Scriptures were written there were no topic titles, the translators and publishers installed those, they thought it would make people to understand the Scriptures better.
The Holy Spirit does not need anyones help, to open the understanding of those reading His Word.

Dave,once again the parable is about relationships,not wasting money,if you believe the parable is about wasting money, then you have a shallow understanding of the parable.
The father placed a ring upon the finger of his WASTEFUL, son who WASTED all of his inheritance, what does the ring represent,you should know this Dave, since you tell people they need you to help them to understand the Scriptures.
The ring is the family SIGNET ring,now Dave, what is the significance of the signet ring,you should know this one also,mister look at the surface of the water. Yepper, the signet ring meant the son could go imto town to make puchases, now why would the father trust his WASTEFUL son with a signet ring, Dave you need to look beneath the surface of the water for this one.
I leave that for you to answer.
Then tell everyone why the father clothed his WASTEFUL son with a beautiful robe, and placed sandals on his feet, mister 'This parable is only about wasted money'.

The parable is about relationships, knowing people, who they are, what they are like.
The younger son knew what his father was like as he says I will return to my father,as he knows the relationship he has with his father.
The older brothers relationship depended upon works, obeying commandments as he says,All of these years i have obeyed your commandments.
Do we get to know who Yeshua is by obeying commandments,or by spending time with him.
Dave, once again, you.look at the surface of the ocean and marvel at the waves, but never go beneath the surface to see all of the life beneath the surface.

Hello everyone:
In the parable recorded by Luke chapter 15 verses 11-32, the word 'PRODIGAL' is not mentioned,not once.
Since the word is not mentioned, not even once, then why is that title laid upon the younger son.
The younger son spent a few dollars, yet he knew what type of man his father was,yet the older brother wasted his life because he never knew what type of man his father was, even though he spent more with his father than his younger brother.
The younger brother only wasted money, which can be replaced, but the older brother wasted his life, and time under the watchful eye of his father.
The younger brother had a relationship with his father, but the older brother never had a real relationship with his father.
Here we have two sons under the same roof with the same father. The younger knew his father,what he was like, his character, attitude and personality, but the older son had no idea who his father was,or what his father was like.
So then, which son wasted that which is more valueable, the younger son who wasted a few dollars, or the older son who wasted his relationship with his dad.
