Younger brother seeing woman 10 years older

My younger brother (22) is seeing a girl (32) and my family absolutely does not approve. He claims they go to a lake, eat for a while, sit in a car, and drive. Today, he claimed he did that and he was out for 10 hours! We have told him that this is an inappropriate relationship and she doesn't work, go to school, etc. But he claims she likes her company.

What would you do in this situation?

Of "We are to abide by the Law in the USA."

There is no law that requires us to marry.

Or more accurately, there is no law in the USA that requires people to marry.

In the Bibe, there are some laws that require people to marry. But no one wants to follow those laws anymore. As with Deuteronomy 22:28-29 and Exodus 22:16.

Even in the Bible, there are only a few places where marriage is commanded.

So, marriage is not commanded, except in a few instances in the Bible that no one wants to follow, and marriage is not required by law in the United States.

But more Laws are broken by marrying than are broken by not marrying. A thousand and one Laws are broken by marrying. The Bible tells us who not to marry. Moreover, the Bible says, what God has joined, let no one separate. There are all to many that separate what God has joined. There is an endless list of laws that are broken in people marrying. So it is better not to marry.

(At Moonlight)

I didn't recall that Moses divorced his wife.

His first wife went on a journey to be with her dad. Her dad Jethro came and visited Moses and gave him some good advice, and Moses listened to his father-in-law's advice and did what his father-in-law proposed.

His first wife was a Midianite.

Moses also married a Cushite woman.

Not ever in my reading in the book of Genesis have I ever read that Moses divorced his wife or any of his wives. Though the one left, never does it say that they divorced.

@ Talk

correction

Moses commanded to give her a certificate of divorce.

" Matthew"

Not necessarily his wife.

Deut.24::1

...and my error saying Genesis. Moses does not appear until Exodus. Then is in Numbers and Deuteronomy as well. Any way, point being that not ever has the scripture said that Moses divorced any of his wives.

We humans glitch!

Yes WalkNTalk there are no scriptures saying that Moses divorced his first wife. There is however speculation that he did.

So to be clear moonlight, speculation is not the word of God.

Matthew 19:7-9

New International Version

7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
